Hey MADDAD, I just want to say thank-you. Sharing your story and allowing me to share mine, it has been a powerful experience, very healing for me. It allowed me to take a look at the incredibly heavy burden I've been carrying around, which has forced me to deal with it in a more efficient way.
I hope with all my heart that things get better for you and yours as well and that your baby can feel safe and secure again. Like I said before, I know our children will be fine, because they know they are loved and cherished and they know we will go to the end of the earth for them, but most importantly... because we believe them and IN THEM.

May I say you are a brave man. We have met in a post or two and I have read through your column. Because of my background in Children's Services,CPS, I have a knee jerk reaction to stories that 30 years of social work has abraded a raw bleeding road to my heart and soul. I retired a couple years ago,but I am still that advocate for children.

I have not read your articles [but I will do so now] as I have been too traumatized from those 30 years on the job.I think I might have ptsd,[ post traumatic stress disorder]. I have spoken out against Nambula on the Vine in appropriate places.

I am not minimizing your story by saying I have not read it,as in my heart of hearts I know what it says. My heart goes out to you and yours. I will keep the boy and your family in my prayer circle. I cannot tell you how many children in 30 years I have walked beside on this lonely road to possible recovery. Love,support, and an open heart are mandatory as is counseling,counseling counseling. Love is not the sole answer.I wish you and yours the best possible outcome.

I want to thank you for removing my comment about Blacks, and how Congress should apologizing to them for slavery.

I don't think the comment was racist or derogatory.

I grew up in East St. Louis, and didn't know I was white 'til one of my playmate's mother kicked me out of her house, calling me a "damned cracker".

Having lived among and worked with Blacks, I think I know a bit more about them than most "Whiteys".

I learned at an early age about their "entitlement" (because their ancestors were slaves)

All of the Black activists are continuously shouting they want equality, when what they really want is advantages over the white race.
Pardon me for sounding racist...but somebody has to point out things like this from time to time...Now, you'all can beat me massa.

My Boy Is In Crisis-was taken down b/c we have made decisions that we belive to be in his best interest...no meds...cutting back a bit on therapy....and focusing on having a good summer. thanks to everyone for their input. it helped me not give myself over to the "professionals".
