Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

On Oct. 4, 2006, while he was performing work on Charles K. Gaal Jr., Wesley Meyers dropped an “implant screwdriver tool” down the patient’s throat.
Gaal swallowed the tool, and two days later he underwent a colonoscopy. The tool was removed from his intestines, the suit said.
On May 1, 2007, Gaal visited Meyers because he had a sore mouth. Meyers wanted to remove a “ball” attachment on an implant.
During that procedure, Meyers dropped a “mini-wrench” into Gaal’s throat, which the patient swallowed, the lawsuit said.
The tool was removed from his chest cavity when part of his left lung was removed.
Gaal never fully recovered, the lawsuit said. He died on June 19, 2007.

Hmmmm .. this one would be a tough call! While the actions of the dentist are truly negligible (if true) the issue of "Gaal never fully recovered" may be a bit of a stretch for a jury considering the man was 90 years old. Perhaps an out-of-court settlement award in the form of a penalty paid to a charity of the family's choice would be more appropriate (unless money is the motive here .. nahhhh LOL).

I've never heard of a dentist dropping tools down a person's throat once, let alone twice. Not a very good dentist. I wonder if he's had any other issues either legal, dental, or otherwise.
