Laura Deane Lyles, of Jasper, faces two counts of sex assault, two counts of sodomy and four counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to Capt. Frank Reynolds with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office.

#1 - Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:36 PM ESTAll she was doing was a lab test I mean after all she is a "physical science" teacher after all or was. Alcohol was meant to be either part of the experiment or for celebration for passing the lab experiment I'm sure.
Florida schools need to use the Las Vegas motto. "What stays between a teacher and a student, stays between a teacher and the student. It goes no further."
either that or these teachers need to be payed more so they don't sexually touch their students.

This is not a joking matter, with the increase of teachers taking advantage of children, people really need to start taking this @!$%# seriously. It is not a joke, it is not funny, the students parents put their trust in the school and the teacher and she violated that trust in a horrible way. Stop cracking jokes, would you still be joking if the victim was female and the assaulter was male?
