Publix, the Lakeland based grocery chain, says it will offer diabetics a popular medication for free.
Mizoone Henriksen says the easiest part of diabetes is skin poking. One of the hardest parts is the cost related to the disease.
She spends about $600 a year. One of the most popular drugs, Glucophage, costs her $60 dollars for a 3 month supply.
"I would glady jump at the opportunity to get it free because with $60 I can buy another medication that I am on," Henriksen says.
