So here we are, my youngest son is now 7 years old. He was just 4 when his male preschool teacher confessed to molesting him during nap-time. The investigation indicated it had been going on for approximately 6 months. The monster was also convicted of raping a 10 year old boy. The Florida Prison System will be his home until 2026 or into 2027. He is known to them as Brian Michael Lane, DOC #C02830.

My son is doing better, after a long spell of him acting out violently with his peers and siblings, he has calmed down, is currently doing well in school, and is helpful to his little sister and tolerant of his older brother. He is as smart as they come. But behind it all, is a look of sadness in his eyes that only a survivor of these crimes could notice.

I would love to report that I have forgiven the sex pervert, or those that failed to stop this through their own negligence. However, I am not that evolved. I still have unmentionable thoughts about this animal getting out of prison, and me having a "sit down" with him. The Director of the daycare where this happened, (Sugarplum First Class Preschool, Hudson,FL), is now working in housekeeping, at the same nursing home my wife works at, everyone knows and I doubt her new career is going to last long, at least not with her current employer.

We get caught up in the sex scandals of large institutions, and we should, but do not overlook the person teaching your child how to count, or read.
