Several people are now coming forward saying they were sexually abused by Charles Devita, who took his own life as the allegations piled up.
His 61-year-old mother, Sandra, of Tampa is living a cruel irony. She's a retired child sex abuse investigator, whose only son killed himself Wednesday after recently being accused of molesting children.
Sandra had been estranged from her son for the past 20 years after she confronted him with her suspicions.
"I said something's not right with you," she said. "You've got no girlfriend, no boyfriend and that's not normal. I had a direct confrontation with him. I couldn’t have been more blatant. It made him squirm.”
This case is now in the national spotlight. The alleged abuse happened at a Christian summer camp in Cape Cod.
Camp Good News first came under scrutiny following a surprise revelation by U.S. Senator Scott Brown from Massachusetts. He revealed in his book that he was molested by a camp counselor at age 10.

She must feel intense guilt. Not only did she know that her son was a pedophile she allowed him to continue his evil ways. Silence is condoning it in this situation. It wouldn't surprise me if she killed herself as well.
