CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- A new military satellite has been launched into space. An unmanned Atlas 5 rocket lifted off into a cloudless sky Saturday afternoon from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It carried the Space-Based Infrared System geosynchronous satellite.
