WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Winter Park Police are worried about a missing mother and her five month old baby because the infant was born three months premature and doesn’t have the medical equipment he needs to survive. Kingston Simmons weighs only eight pounds and he uses oxygen and apnea monitors. He’s considered missing and endangered by state workers.

DCF spokeswoman Carrie Hoeppner said the agency took the boy when he was born because of an incident with the father. Eventually though, Shumia Barker regained custody of her son. She was advised to stay away from the boy’s father, but just six days ago the dad and son had contact. Now, DCF wants to talk to Barker and find out where she and her son are.

“We’re absolutely very concerned and asked anyone who sees them to contact local law enforcement,” said Hoeppner.

Don't hold your breath... no description, no picture, what incompetent officer made this press release?
