Pensacola, Florida (PNJ) -- A Pensacola legend once had a run-in with Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi that nearly turned into a desert duel.
Air Force Gen. Daniel "Chappie" James of Pensacola is known to the world as the country's first black four-star general. But his fighting legend was forged in the Libyan desert in 1969.
