Phoenix police told ABC15 that the victim claims her parents and her younger sister beat her, and then tied her to a bed in their home.

The mother, Yursa Farhan, who sat down with ABC15 on Saturday, admitted to hitting her daughter, Aiya, who lied to her and used foul language, but denies ever beating her as police allege.

"She was talking to a boy and our culture says no boyfriends," Farhan said. "We have to respect our culture."

Farhan was released from jail last week, but was re-arrested on Wednesday.

Investigators said Fahan also burned Aiya with a hot spoon as punishment back in November because the teenager refused to marry a 38-year-old man.

Farhan's husband, Mohammed Altameemi, and their 18-year-old daughter, Tabarak Altameemi, were arrested in connection with the most recent incident.

No boyfriends at 15, but she's punished for refusing to marry somebody 2½ times her age?

Ooohhh, riiiight! That makes a lot of sense! No male friends her own age, but statutory rape by way of forced marriage - probably to some scruffy pedo old enough to be her father and who wants a new virgin - is totally logical and culturally valid. /S.A.R.C.

The only way this type of thinking is going to stop is to educate the rest of the world and that is going to take a long time, a very long time..bit by bit.

I was taught to be tolerant of other peoples beliefs and cultures. For the most part I do. But this - well it is uncivilized, inexcusable and flat out barbaric. Note to Iranians, Iraqis, Saudis, etc. who follow this sort of lifestyle ( you can't call it culture, the word culture implies being civilized) - GO HOME! In this nation, we do not believe in this sort of living. IF you want to follow your barbaric rules - do not come to the USA.

According to the video the authorities won't allow these demons to leave the country even if they make bail. WTF is up with that? Let this bovine looking clan go and take their FUBAR customs back to whatever hell they came from. They should never have been allowed to enter the U.S. in the first place. Confiscate their personal property, sell it at auction and donate the proceeds to a food bank.

Out culture specifically states "Girl talk to boy, hit girl. Boy talk to girl, hit girl. Girl talk reason to parents, hit girl." It's all written in the parenting guidebook...and we did not 'beat her up', it was parenting love crashing onto her very hard.

Allowing vermin like this to immigrate to the U.S. is as smart as intentionally bringing home a bag full of live cockroaches and letting them loose in the house knowing full well at some point you will have to pay to have them exterminated.
